Final Video and evaluation- Smile

Image
This is my final video for my smile campaign and i am happy with the final outcome of my product. The Video: The purpose of my video was to show that my target audience can go from being down, sad or stuck in their own head with different thoughts, to then being outside and feel more free within themselves and more content with their thoughts. I chose this idea as over the past 2 years with the current pandemic we have all been effected by it but mostly young people in education, as it was a large change from being in classrooms with a teacher to being remote at home. With lockdown everyone was stuck in their houses with nothing to do which caused a big surge in mental health problems. For many, their daily walk was their only escape from all the constant bad news and school work that was going on in the world and helped people get through the situation. The sequences in my video are full with camera movement to help keep a constant flow throughout my video and to allow my audien...

Location scouting and release forms- smile

To ensure i knew exactly where i was filming my video and if i had the permission to film there i completed my own version of location scouting and release forms, which can be seen above. In these forms they will include the address, times of filming, dates of filming. etc. These forms are also important in the film industry to once again make sure they have the permission to film in their chosen location or locations. These forms will let all the property managers know when and where they will be filming on the specific dates on the forms. Location sheets from GeorgiaDodsworth1

Risk assessment forms- Smile

Before i started with the production of my video i completed risk assessment forms to ensure that the areas that i was filming in were safe for the cast and crew, this is to make filming the safest it can possibly be. Above are my own versions of the risk assessment forms for: Crowther industrial estate, Sunderland City Centre and a friends house. Forms were completed fully to make sure all locations would be safe to film at. Risk assesment from GeorgiaDodsworth1

Smile storyboard

To ensure that i know exactly what shots i would be filming and to limit the time thinking about what shot i want to film whilst out in the field, i created a storyboard. In the film industry storyboards are common and most likely essential when creating a new project to have a strong visual representation on what they will be making. Directors will use these to stop any time wasting when creating a new project or may use them if they are unsure on a certain scene that they have filmed or are wanting to film in the future.  Smile storyboard from GeorgiaDodsworth1

Script

Before filming for my video i decided to make a general script for my video. In this script it included different movements and a general description on where i would be filming. When writing this script i believe it helped me when planning as i got a better idea on what movements and actions i would be doing in my video, Script smile campaign script (1) from GeorgiaDodsworth1
